Marana nimittas - Foretelling death and preparations thereby

We all have to leave this body one day. In fact, sooner than later as we often tend to think. As per Ayurveda sastra and many other sastras, no death comes un-announced. There are sure signs of death known as "marana suchakas" or "marana nimittas" that give us early indication of the impending death.

Imagine, if we can foretell our own death and also guide others! "Ante Narayana Smriti" - the success of life is to chant the holy name at the end of life. If we are armed with this knowledge, it then, as per Aittereya Aranyaka Vedic text, one should prepare consciously known as "paraloka sadhana karma".

64 Traditional Arts are an important part of education in the Vedic tradition. Due to an aimless modern educational system, cultivation of arts has been long neglected and consequently a civilization of arm chair philosophers and corrupt people has been created like never seen before. The mental cognition and fineness of thought process required to appreciate and reciprocate in Krsna consciousness has been stunted severely. This makes a chaotic civilization of disturbed people and hence a disturbed civilization.

Ancient techniques of Rain Prediction

Rain prediction or "Pravarshana nimittas jnana" is an ancient branch of knowledge in Vedic literatures. Billions of dollars are spent by the governments and companjes to send rockets above the ground and send reports on movement of clouds. But we see that the meteorological departments can hardly predict and if they do, the accuracy is of great question. Ancient texts have amazing ways to foretell rains six months ahead with great accuracy of upto 99% as studies conducted by Gujarat universities, etc. This is incredible to the modern day scientists!
